Geodon is a kind of medicinal products called atypical antipsychotics.   • Some patients can evolve adverse effects to Ziprasidone, known as extrapyramidal effects (anxiety, tremor, rigidity) or tardive dyskinesia (slow or convulsive movements that cannot be controlled). These symptoms may be less serious and occur less frequently than with the older antipsychotics (e.g., Haldol [Haloperidol], Prolixin [fluphenazine], Thorazine [Aminazin]). If your movements become uncontrollable and cause discomfort, consult your doctor immediately;
  • Tell your doctor if you have any cardiac disease or diabetes. These diseases can make Ziprasidone an unsafe for human consumption;
  • Ziprasidone treatment may lead to an increased risk of death in elderly people with dementia and related behavioral problems. However, despite the precedents, insecurity of the drug isn’t substantiated. Talk to your doctor if you’re concerned or have questions;
  • You shouldn’t accept drugs or drink alcohol during the Ziprasidone treatment.

Side effects
